Colorless (clear) flat glass can be used directly, or it can be used by secondary processes by turning it into laminated glass, tempered glass, coated glass, mirror, painted glass, satin glass and insulating glass. Colored flat glass is obtained by adding various coloring metal oxides to the colorless flat glass blend. Colored glass plates can be used directly or combined with low-emission glass (Low-E) in laminated glass, tempered glass, mirror and thermal insulation glass unit. Colored flat glass is generally preferred in architectural structures.
