LAMINATED GLASS

They are produced by assembling two or more glass plates through a special fixing agent polyvinyl butyral (PVB) layers under heat and pressure. This operation minimizes the risks arising from broken glasses by holding the pieces together if the glass is broken. They are used to protect lives and assets against the external impacts in addition to the injuries arising from accidents. They minimize the risk of getting injured arising from accidents where the people crash on the glasses. They provide security against the external impacts. They prevent/slow down the attacks with rocks and bats and robbery attempts. They contribute to the acoustic insulation. They restrict ultraviolet (UV) lights which are the reason for the objects and fabrics to fade up to 97%. They are also used for the double-glazing units, therefore heat insulation is also provided in addition to the safety and security. An efficient heat control is provided with the laminated glasses coated with Low-E. We produce tempered, coloured, curved, bullet-resistant and multi-layered glasses according to the needs of our customers in addition to the standars Şişecam Lamine Cam (Bottle Glass Laminated Glass) products. The structures needing to use safety glasses are indicated in the “TSE 13433 Glasses – Used in the Structures – Codes of Practices for Safety Related to Human Crash”. As indicated under this standard, those glasses should be especially used for the places where the glass-shattering has dangerous consequences.
